Red Pine Exploration Opportunity

Modern Gold Rush in Ontario

More About this Opportunity

After the gold rush there is often a lot of gold left in the ground as fortune-seekers move on to the next big discovery.

Sometimes it just takes time, or improved mining and discovery methods, but smart explorers return to past producing areas and can find opportunity there.

Such is the case with the town of Wawa, home of Ontario’s first gold rush in 1897. The area is home to a recent infusion of mining resources as old mines are re-opened, historical resources are expanded, and new discoveries are made.

To date, Red Pine has identified gold resources, indicated and inferred, of 701,000 ounces, with grades in the 5 - 7 grams/tonne range.

Approximately 95% of the current resource is found at less than 350 meters depth. We are working diligently to expand that resource, both horizontally and at depth.

Exploration and Drilling

In 2024, we are continuing the drill program begun in 2020.

In addition to expanding the two previously reported resources (the Surluga Deposit and the Minto Mine South Deposit), we have identified six other exploration targets – Grace, Nyman, Minto Lower Parkhill #4, Sadowski Gold Zone, Minto B, and Cooper – along a 6km gold mineralization corridor contained within the Wawa Gold Project.

Other mines in the area have recently greatly expanded historical resources through similar programs, including Wesdome’s Eagle River Mine and Alamos Gold’s Island Gold Mine.

Approximately 95% of the current resource is found at less than 350 meters depth. We are working diligently to expand that resource, both horizontally and at depth.

Next Steps

Red Pine Exploration continues to explore and drill across the Wawa Gold Project in 2023.

We anticipate our current program will wrap up later this year. The next step will be to update our existing NI 43-101 Technical Report for the project, incorporating the findings from our extensive 3 year drill campaign and expanding the current total, indicated and inferred, of 701,000 ounces of gold. Our drill results to date have been positive and we look forward to assembling all of the information into a comprehensive report.

We invite you to join us in our quest to develop the next major gold resource in the world class Abitibi Greenstone Belt.
